Our Story

In November of 2017,  I met a street cat in the parking lot of the bar I worked at. After trying to get her to leave my front seat for over 15 minutes, it was clear she wanted to come home with me. After an interesting first night together, she was named Latoya. Latoya was not the first cat my family had rescued, but she was the first animal to truly change my life. After weeks of waiting for someone to claim her on facebook, she was deemed mine. But our joy as a newly formed duo turned to sadness when she was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia. The sweetest animal I had ever met was doomed before I even met her. Our time together never felt long enough as it was only just barely over 3 years that we had spent, but she was my support system. She watched me make friends, lose friends, date, break-up and she was even up early in her cap and gown the day I graduated. She was exactly what I needed at the time, a best friend. When I lost her, I never wanted to have an animal that was that close to me ever again. I felt like I had lost a piece of myself. After slow healing, I learned to open my heart again the same way she taught me to. Now almost two years later, our home is the safe haven for over 20 cats. She is the reason we do what we do, to try our best to never allow another cat go without food, shelter and love. This is her legacy.

Caressing a Cat

What We're Up To now

TNR

For the last 2 years we have participated in multiple semi-large scale TNR projects, trapping multiple cats to be fixed and vetted. Some were then released back onto their farms, some stayed with us and some found new loving homes

Education

Speaking to members of our community about what they can do to help the friendly strays in their town

Spay support

We are here to help you with EVERYTHING you need support in , especially low cost spay options. Please contact us to see how we can help get your cat(s) fixed for a lower cost

Supporting

We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue, not only by our own work, but by assisting others in their work by fostering. Support is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in surrounding areas. We are always striving to make a difference, and we invite you to learn more and lend your support

Relocating

We have recently finished our second catio, which will be a dedicated space to fully feral cats who will remain with us after their home was destroyed

Advocacating

We are continuously reinforcing our commitment to the bettering of the stray and feral cat communities.
